Wednesday Opponent Overview

All Time Record vs. Eastern: 1-0

Classic Matches:

2009; Eastern 3, Bethany Christian 2
With the Wabash tournament in the balance, we played against a strong Eastern team. They had only lost once all season, and their #1 doubles had never been beaten. I didn't have a lot of hope. But Seth played one of his best matches, then Blake pulled out a 3rd set comeback. Then #1 doubles pushed it into a tiebreak. We finally fell in a close #2 doubles match, but it was the most proud I was of last year's team.

Top Players over the Years: We've only played once.

Last Season Result:Eastern 3, Bethany Christian 2

#2D - Adam McKinney (beat Russell Klassen/Nick Rebec, 7-6, 7-5)

We don't know, we didn't see their JV

Outlook: This should be another one of our awesome matches this year, one that will tell us where we are at as a team. These are the type of challenges that we will always need. We'll see how they move their lineup around, but right now it looks like they could be a little weak in the singles lineup, where we would matchup well. Of course, they could move Horvath from his highly successful doubles season into a singles position. That could change the complexion of the match, and make doubles even more important. Of course, we won't know much until the match happens, so we'll all have to come in on our toes!
